Morgardshammar India Limited is a pioneer in the field of design, manufacture & supply of rolling mill Guide Equipment for the Steel Industry. The company was formed in the year 1983, as a joint venture between Morgardshammar AB of Sweden and Umesh Modi Group of Industries in India. Over the years, the company has developed and established a reputation for its quality products & reliability.

The company is now independent, and catering to over 70% of Guides market in India, apart from regular exports around the world. The Product range includes all kinds of Roller Guides, Slitting Guides, Special Application Guides, Escapement Repeaters and Loopers for Wire rod and Bar Mills.

In the year 2008, the company set- up the ‘Electrode’ division with the brand name of ‘GMM arc’ having an annual production capacity of 4800 MT of stick electrode and 1680 MT of CO2/MAG wire in Phase 1. The products are broadly classified as:

Proposed to expanded further to 7200 MT in three years. Looking into tremendous industrial growth, the company also plans to set up similar 7200 MT electrode plant in Eastern, Western and Southern parts of the country.
